HR/Safety Manager

Select People Solutions is excited to be working with our client in the transportation industry as they search for a Human Resources Manager to join their team based in Claresholm. Successful candidates will have experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for large teams. If you are driven and eager to learn from a family run company, we want to hear from you!

• The rate of pay will be $65K – 80K/year based on experience
• This will be a Full-time, permanent position
• In office – based out of Claresholm
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates living within the area

• Oversee safety programs
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments
• Foster a safety first culture
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies - including interviews, facilitating the hiring process with the management team, and onboarding new employees

• Implement and manage performance appraisal processes to drive employee development and organizational success.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development opportunities.
• Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for employees.
• Manage and coordinate foreign work program

• Relevant education
• 3-5 years experience in HR and Safety
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Must have own reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of provincial employment legislation and OH&S standards

• Experience and knowledge in foreign work programs

• Transportation industry background
