Senior Accounting Technician

Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our client as they search for an experienced Senior Accounting Technician to join their team. The role is ideal for a proactive professional with sound judgement and commitment to accuracy.
 
Compensation & Hours:

• The rate of pay will be $70K-$85K/year based on experience
• Monday- Friday
• This role is based in office in Lethbridge, AB (no remote or hybrid available)

• Offering accounting direction on all accounting processes including payroll and benefits
• Streamlining the financial operations by developing policies, overseeing compliance, managing KPI’s, and streamlining operations
• Compiling and presenting financial reports
• Forecasting
• Special projects and data analysis, including the monitoring of corporate credit, assessing risks, and investigating variances
• Collaborating and building relationships with internal and external departments to support financial decision making
• Meeting deadlines and managing month-end/year-end closing processes/audits

• 4+ years’ experience as a Controller, Accounting Technician, or related
• Strong interpersonal communication skills – including verbal and written communication
• Well versed critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and pattern recognition

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA Designation
