Roller Operator

Are you an experienced equipment operator with a knack for smooth finishes and steady hands? Our client is looking for a Roller Operator to join their crew on various construction projects. If you’re comfortable working outdoors, have a strong safety mindset, and enjoy seeing your work take shape beneath your feet (or wheels!), we want to hear from you.

• The rate of pay will be around $25/hr.
• Laid off in the winter (2-3 Months)
• Must be available to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons

• Operating heavy rollers to compact various materials like asphalt, soil, and gravel. 
• Maintaining smooth and level surfaces, ensuring required standards are met to be ready for use or further construction work
• Achieving compaction by making successive overlapping passes, adjusting speed and direction, and monitoring the material's temperature and compressibility. 
• Performing routine maintenance, including pre-operational safety inspections and minor repairs
• Collaborating with other team members, such as site supervisors, paver operators, and other equipment operators, to ensure quality compaction, project efficiency, and safety. 

• Previous experience operating a roller on construction or paving sites
• Valid driver's license
• Strong work ethic and ability to work long days outdoors in various conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team

• Finish roller experience
• Safety tickets (CSTS, Ground Disturbance, First Aid, etc.)
• Class 3 or air brakes
