    At Forty Mile Foundation our mission is to provide the best care and accommodations in a home atmosphere to senior citizens of Bow Island, Foremost and surrounding area.

    Forty Mile Foundation operates Pleasant View Lodge, Pleasant View Manor and Forty Mile Foundation Housing. The Senior’s Lodge has 55 studio rooms on the upper level and 16 Senior’s self-contained independent living units on the lower level. Pleasant View Manor, which is a separate low-income Senior’s building, has 12 units. Forty Mile Foundation Housing, which is low-income family housing, has 11 duplexes/22 units.
     

    CAO (Chief Administrative Officer)

    This role will be responsible to the Board of Directors and will oversee all functions to ensure operations run efficiently while maintaining the focus on the happiness, health, and safety of residents and staff.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide Direction and Leadership to ensure that Staff carry out the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
    • Direct and Manage the day-to-day Operations
    • Interact with the Residents to ensure that their Needs are Met
    • Interview and Screen potential residents and do the intake/paperwork for the for the Lodge, Manor & Forty Mile Foundation Housing.
    • Review, approve, implement and monitor Annual Operation Plans. Assist with the preparation, implementation and monitoring of Budgets.
    • Management of all HR Responsibilities, including Hiring, Onboarding, and Performance Reviews
    • Review and Approve Payroll and Monthly Financial Reporting
    • Attend and Present Reports to Board at Meetings (every other month)
    • Ensure that all AHS and Government Regulations are being met and act as a liaison on Administrative Matters
    • Ensure that the organization is compliant with Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety and Supportive Living Accommodation Standards.
    • Be Available to be On-Site at the Lodge for any after-hours Incidents

    • Compassionate and Understanding Nature
    • Passionate about the Importance of Seniors and Community Housing
    • Excellent Organizational and Management Skills
    • Exceptional Communication Skills and the Ability to Delegate
    • Strong Computer Competency, with ability to work in MS Office
    • Ability to Pass a Vulnerable Sector Search
    • Understanding of and Familiarity with Board Governance Structure
    • Post Secondary Bachelor’s Degree considered an Asset
