In a rapidly shifting workplace, strategic workforce planning has become the buzzword in HR circles. Join us for the kick off session of HR in a Box Series in Lethbridge to learn from HR experts how to deepen your understanding of effective workforce planning and how to implement it in your organization.
HR in a Box is a series of hands on workshops, with an emphasis on group discussion and case studies. Each session provides opportunities to share ideas, work together on strategies, develop practical solutions to real issues, and take away tips and tools to implement in your workplace. Some sessions may involve pre-reading.
Presenters
Marcie Kiziak, CPHR - Organizational Structure
Marcie Kiziak is an experienced Human Resources professional with 15 years of experience primarily in the oil and gas and industrial construction sectors.
For the last 10 years, Marcie has been primarily focused on HR operations and acquisitions including integration, change management and strategically aligning HR practices and programs within businesses. Marcie was most recently the Vice President of People and Safety for Magnum Energy Services and previously spent 8 years with Flint Energy Services (URS Flint).
Marcie is a board director for the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Alberta, The Alberta Safety Codes Council and Little Warriors as well as on the Human Resources Advisory Committee for NAIT and regularly volunteers her time at several post-secondary institutions.
Marcie has a degree in Management with a focus on Human Resources and Labour Relations from the University of Lethbridge, a Project Management Certificate from NAIT and a Change Management Certificate from Prosci.
Landis Jackson, CPHR - Attraction, Recruitment, and Selection
Landis Jackson is a human resources generalist who, over the past 15 years, has held leadership roles in entrepreneurial, manufacturing, health services,
technology and financial services sectors.
Most recently Landis has been sharing her knowledge and experiences with students through her instructional work at three post-secondary institutions
in the Calgary area.
Through her work, Landis helps companies align the people initiatives with the corporate strategy, leading to achievement of desired objectives within an engaging culture built on trust.
Landis also fosters mentoring relationships with new grads entering the workplace, and assists managers motivate and influence their staff. These critical relationships are always appreciated and strive to bring out the best authentic leader of the mentor while providing meaningful guidance to the mentee.
Landis is a recipient of the Community Champion Award from CPHR Alberta in recognition of her outstanding volunteer contributions to a non-profit or charitable organization within the community.
